The next installment of the Road Safety Capacity Building Program webinar series will focus on one of the most urgent road safety challenges in Asia and the Pacific: reducing deaths and serious injuries among powered two-wheeler (PTW) users.

Delivered by the Asia-Pacific Road Safety Observatory (APRSO) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in partnership with the World Resources Institute (WRI), the series will explore how evidence, policy, and practice can be brought together to support safer PTW mobility and advance the goal of Vision Zero.

Motorcycle users account for more than 35% of road deaths across Asia and the Pacific and up to 60% in Southeast Asia. Across four sessions, the series will examine the scale and human cost of motorcycle trauma, explore what a Safe System approach means for PTW users, address emerging challenges associated with the gig economy, and discuss how successful interventions can be scaled across the region.

The webinar series will be moderated by Jessica Truong, Director, Lösningar.
