Four Finalist Teams Advance to the AI for Safer Roads Challenge Final Pitch Event
The race to the final stage of the AI for Safer Roads Challenge is on.
Following a competitive selection process, four finalist teams have earned their place in the AI for Safer Roads Challenge Final Pitch Event, where they will go head-to-head with innovative AI-powered solutions designed to support safer speed management and help save lives on the world's roads.
Delivered by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in collaboration with AI for Good, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the World Bank Development Economics Group, and the Asia-Pacific Road Safety Observatory (APRSO), the challenge brings together innovators from across sectors to explore how artificial intelligence, mobility data, and geospatial analytics can help tackle one of road safety's most persistent risks: inappropriate and excessive speed.
Meet the Finalist Teams
Selected from a strong field of submissions, the finalist teams represent a dynamic mix of expertise spanning artificial intelligence, data science, transportation, mapping technologies, and road safety. Their solutions offer new approaches to identifying speed-related risks, prioritizing interventions, and supporting smarter, evidence-based decision-making for safer roads. These teams are:
🔸5S
🔸SpeedTruth
🔸Team GauDT
🔸Neural City
On 28 October 2026, each team will take the virtual stage and have just five minutes to pitch their solution to an expert jury. The finalists will demonstrate how their ideas can translate data into action and help decision-makers better understand and manage speed-related risks. The jury will assess each solution based on its innovation, practicality, scalability, and potential to create real-world impact for road safety.
Join the Final Pitch Event
Be among the first to see the finalist teams in action as they present their ideas, answer questions from the jury, and compete for recognition in this exciting regional innovation challenge.
