This scoping review examines 129 studies on Vision Zero, the Safe System approach, and Sustainable Safety, analyzing where and when the studies were conducted, how the concepts are defined and applied, and the main topics addressed in the literature. Using thematic analysis, the authors categorize the studies into seven key themes, including implementation, principles, practical application, implementation readiness, vulnerable road users and equity, effectiveness, and future challenges, while also identifying knowledge gaps and priorities for future research.
